My name is Taryn, I'm 25, and I've just gotten back to the States after teaching English in Tokyo for a year. I have a fairly useless degree in Japanese from Penn State University, and am currently back to searching for jobs again. I really like foreign languages, and I've also studied German, Korean and Mandarin, but I've forgotten a lot from not using them. I don't like owls of any variety.

I don’t think I get how this works yet. I think maybe I’m getting too old to figure out new things on the internet. I’m surprised I never made a Tumblr account before now, though, I needed a good place to store all the shit that isn’t worth a whole LJ post but that I don’t want to clog up my Facebook with. And since I’m living 7 million miles away from home for at least the next year, it’s just easier for people to stalk me here than on other sites that you need to be registered with to access.
So there you have it. I’ll try to post a lot of various things here, but I’m assuming it’ll be mostly pictures and brief posts like this one. Enjoy!
